According to the strategy for development of the Group's grain business, elaborated in 2016, in order to achieve greater efficiency, competitive stability and survivability in unstable situation in the agro-market, a global restructuring of the organizational structure and business processes of UkrTransAgro and UTA Logistic had been performed.
So, in the spring of this year, owing to a transparent corporate structure, dynamic financial performance indicators, the reputation of a reliable partner, UTA Logistic raised financing for the purchase of bulk grain lorries. Thus, from the new season 2018/2019 UTA Logistic will only perform the functions of the carrier of grain and oil bearing cargoes both by own and hired transport.
At the same time, the sea grain terminal UkrTransAgro becomes a single point of contact for the provision of a full range of services to support grain, oil bearing cargoes and their derivative products at all stages of the supply chain from growing to exportation by sea vessels.
From June 1, 2018, these two companies will be headed by Pavel Plotnikov.
Artem Mazny, who previously headed the terminal UkrTransAgro, remains on the leading position in the membership of Supervisory Board. Also, given his extensive experience in building and automating the terminal's operations, he will lead a new line of business in Management Company Mariupol Investment Group - the introduction of innovations and the automation of business processes.
"In the conditions of tough competition and contest for customers in the agricultural market of our region, it is not enough to say that the enterprise is modern and efficient, it is necessary to show the quality that can be achieved by way of introduction of innovations. Thus, there was a need to create such a structure in our company. Artem Mazny has been set a global task - to prepare the entire grain business of the group for challenges of the future, i.e. work in conditions of declining rates for transshipment; growing competition between the transshipment complexes of "big" and "small" water. Pavel Plotnikov's mission will be to preserve and increase the company's competitive advantage in the industry,"- commented Oleg Ivanyushenko, co-founder and Executive director of “MC “MIG”, LLC.
